SKB 8 Space Rack Case Reviews 5

Straight black. Steel handles. Steel screws included. Plenty of room even for a GK Fusion Head. My history as a musician includes everything from stints playing with a comedy troupe, musicals, touring with a progressive rock outfit, and even playing upright in various jazz, bluegrass, folk, and irish groups. And that's just the start.

I got it from a friend I was touring with, who needed the money to bring with him on tour. So he sold it to me for $75. STEAL. This thing probably went for in the ballpark of $300 when it was brand new. I've only had it for a few months now.

I love the sturdiness. After all, it IS a rack case. It's meant to carry really heavy stuff and keep it safe from any scratches or wear and tear. And for a long time, it took care of my GK Fusion 550, Line 6 Mod Pro, Korg Rack Tuner and all of my cables. I still have it, but it's sitting in my bedroom for now while I'm not touring. The handles are properly placed for easy carrying and the front and back panels latch on securely.

I have no qualms with it whatsoever. I almost want a lock on it, but the more I think about it when it comes up, I think about when somebody would actually take the time to unscrew your gear from the case and take it that way. They'd probably just take the whole thing. Either way...I have no problems with it whatsoever. Everything fits snugly, and I've had no problems with it even holding a 50-something-pound bass head.

I feel like I already did, but I'll say it again. No problems. None. At all. Keeps your stuff safe from scratches forever as long as it's in the case.

Perfect case construction from SKB. I've come to expect nothing less from the company. Definitely going to continue to buy from them and add to my rack case, pedalboard, and bass guitar hardcases.
